Catholic School and College Preference Forms
The Parish Priests are available to sign Catholic School and College Preference Forms at the Te Awakairangi Parish Office, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt. (SS Peter & Paul Church Campus)
Families requesting a Catholic Preference Form signed are asked to complete the form before bringing it to the Parish Office. The form must be brought in person by a parent, caregiver, or family member of the child. Please also bring a copy of the child’s Catholic Baptism Certificate or other relevant sacramental certificates.
Preference Forms will be signed only for children who meet the prescribed Catholic preference criteria. Completed forms and supporting documents may be brought to the Parish Office from Monday to Friday, between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm. Once the form has been reviewed and signed, the Parish Office Team will contact the family to arrange collection. In some circumstances, the family may be asked to make an appointment to meet with a priest.
As Te Awakairangi is a large parish community, our priests may not always be able to meet personally with every family. However, the priests and Parish Office Team will do their best to support families through the process.
Families are kindly asked to collect completed forms within one week of being contacted, as the Parish Office is unable to hold forms for an extended period.
Please read the Preference Form carefully and complete all relevant sections before bringing it to the Parish Office. Should you need assistance completing the form, a member of the Parish Office Team will be happy to guide you.
A Catholic Preference Form confirms that the child meets the Catholic preference criteria for enrolment in a Catholic school or college.
