Kia ora!

I am Fr Noel Corcino, CJM. I recently arrived in Aotearoa New Zealand from the Philippines and feel blessed to be welcomed into the Archdiocese of Wellington.

I was ordained in 2018 into the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, founded by St John Eudes. Before becoming a priest, I worked as a plant pathologist and hold a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, specialising in plant diseases.

My priestly formation includes philosophy, theology and a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry.

Before coming here, I served as director of a retreat house for five years. I also spent time in Auckland over 20 years ago during my formation, where I worked closely with Māori and Pacific communities a time I remember fondly.

I am grateful to return and walk this journey with the people of Te Awakairangi Parish in faith and service.
