Important Update: New Leadership Team for Our Te Awakairangi Parish
As we journey together as Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee year, our parish is beginning on a new chapter in its life. In alignment with the Divine Renovation, Divine Word Missionaries Charism and with the support of Archdiocesan Team & Archbishop Paul, we are establishing a new Senior Leadership Team in our Te Awakairangi Parish.
This team will replace the Parish Pastoral Council for now and will focus on the operational aspects of parish life, supporting our parish priests in the day-to-day activities of our community. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of our parish’s activities, ensuring we are intentional in all we do.
As we begin this new journey of refresh and renewal of our Te Awakairangi Parish teams gradually, we invite your prayers and support in discerning the intentional disciples for this role. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to choose the leaders, guide and inspire them as they work to build up our parish community.
We are grateful for your support and prayers for the past pastoral council members: Phil Adamczyk, Maria Bartley, Foi Bell, Paula Davies, Catherine Nash & Christopher Newton, in supporting our pastoral leadership team to do the ministry. May God bless our Te Awakairangi Parish and guide us on this new path.
Prayer for Parish Renewal
Father, thank You that You are always doing a new thing. Give us eyes to see Your infinite goodness at work and to co-operate with You as you renew the Church.
Jesus, we thank You for creating paths in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Accompany us on this journey of renewing our own Te Awakairangi Parish.
Holy Spirit, ignite in us a passion for making disciples and help us to bear fruit that will last. Amen
